Waste Not, Grow Lots! Composting in Coventry In-Person
Join Isaac Reid of the R.I. Food Policy Institute to hear about how compost is made, methods of composting at home, and how to use it!
He'll include why composting is so important and how integral it is to meeting R.I.’s Act on Climate goal to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2050.
Attendees can opt to purchase a compost bin for only $9 - a discount of 80%! Made possible by the Coventry Department of Public Works (DPW) and Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (RIRRC).
Please bring a payment method if you are interested in purchasing a compost bin: check or money order (for $9 per bin) are preferred, but cash is also accepted. Please try and bring exact change if possible. We apologize that we will not be able to accept debit or credit cards for these transactions.
Brought to you by the Coventry Wantaknohow Garden Club and the Coventry Public Library. Light refreshments will be served.
Free and open to the public. No registration required. If you'd like to receive a friendly reminder, please register by emailing JCoppa@coventrylibrary.org, calling 822-9104, or using the 'Begin Registration' button below.
Thursday, May 29th from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Coventry Public Library, 1672 Flat River Road, Coventry, R.I.
